Location Situated north of the N7 and the A8 motorway, halfway between the Gorges du Verdon and the Mediterranean, Lorgues is nestled at the bottom of a valley, surrounded by steep hills with hamlets and chapels. Lorgues is a small fortified town which has managed to preserve many of its original features as well as a maze of medieval streets. The town has also a longstanding tradition of winemaking and its famous wines are exported all over the world. Environment : Pine forests and vineyards, wooded hills.

A beautiful medieval hilltop village with plenty of narrow streets lined with very picturesque Provencal houses dominating a vast area of Provence, from Fréjus and the Mediterranean sea to the east to Cezanne’s Ste Victoire mountain to the west. Salernes. 22 km. Medieval town built around its castle, in a picturesque setting in the valley of the Bresque river. Best known for its tradition of tile making, especially for the trademark terracotta hexagonal floor tiles of Provence.
