Location
Situated in the Roucas Blanc area, on the heights of Marseille, close to the sea and behind the Corniche. 1 km from Le Prophète beach, 2 km from the large beaches and sports area of Le Prado; 3 km from the old harbour. This area was a sought-after holiday spot for the inhabitants of Marseille in the 19th Century, before the arrival of the tramway and the coastal road. Situated behind the Notre Dame de la Garde hill (La Bonne Mère). It is a green and peaceful location, 20 to 30 minutes walk to the old harbour, the property is located in a country setting within easy reach of the lively centre of Marseille.
Environment : Situated at the top of a hill, in a typical «Village» within Marseille, with open views over the hill and Notre Dame de la Garde, then in the distance over the Massif de l’Etoile. A 5-minute walk to the shops.

PLACES TO VISIT:
Aubagne. 9.5 km. Pleasant town surrounded by hills and rocky crags, with nicely renovated old quarters. Birthplace of Marcel Pagnol of “Jean de Florette” fame.
Cassis. 19 km. Chic seaside resort at the foot of the tall Cap Canaille cliff, with picturesque fishing port lined with attractive traditional pastel painted buildings and plenty of cafes and restaurants.
Aix en Provence. 36 km. Stunningly beautiful and vibrant city, distinctively Provencal, with sunny squares filled with cafes, broad avenues lined with gigantic plane trees and tempting restaurants, and a substantial historical centre with elegant shops and attractive houses.
Bandol. 38 km. Family seaside resort tucked in a cove between La Ciotat and Toulon. A vibrant harbour packed with fine shops and restaurants as well as a casino. Also renowned for its vineyards producing some of the best wines on the coast.

Golf Country Club de la Salette, Marseille. 958m Golf course. 18 holes/9 holes Par 71/27 - 5824m/680m. A unique and privileged location in the sunny hills described by the famous French writer Pagnol.
Karting Indoor Provence and Laser Games Megazone, Aubagne. 4.5 km. Multi leisure centre with karting (for both children aged 7+, and adults), mini-motos (adults only), laser games, games room (video games, table football, air hockey, etc.). Great indoor fun, whatever the weather.
Indian Forest Sud, Bouc-Bel-Air. 25 km. Tree top adventure park. Acrobatic adventure park for the young and not so young. Discover at your own pace the 10 trails on offer. Going from tree to tree, balance yourself through an assortment of games such as rope bridges, tarzan swings and giant zip lines.
Aqualand, St Cyr sur Mer. 30 km. Waterpark. 4 hectares of water games: wave pool, 8 water slides, bubble bath, rapids, rapif rafting, etc. But also shops, shaded areas, sun terraces, all this amidst luxuriant vegetation! For the whole family.

FURTHER AFIELD:
Hyères.73 km. Attractive seaside resort with walled and medieval centre, once the favourite summer resort of celebrities, some of the intellectual elite and the rich. The town and its peninsula have almost 40 km of pristine sand beaches and rocky inlets to offer.
Les Baux-de-Provence. 90 km. Most beautiful Provencal hill top and fortified village, in the heart of the Alpilles with brilliant view of Arles, the Camargue and the Alpilles. Officially classified and labelled as `one of the most beautiful villages in France`, it is one of the “must sees” in Provence.
Fontvieille. 94 km Pleasant town famous for its windmill which inspired 19th century writer Alphonse Daudet, when he wrote `Letters from my Windmill` - a sort of 19th century `Year in Provence` look at the lives of everyday people in the region.
St Rémy de Provence. 95 km. As picturesque and Provencal as can be, with narrow winding streets, shady squares, fantastically old fountains, elegant shops, art galleries and plenty of bars and restaurants. The village and surrounding countryside has inspired many artists including Van Gogh who produced more than 150 paintings of the area. Also birthplace of Nostradamus.
